Enter Penang, visited friends there and honestly knew very little about the place. we flew in from langkawi, and was reading up on Penang on the short flight there, to discover that it's actually an island, smaller than Langkawi, that was a shocker...further discovered it enjoys world unesco heritage city status! double whammy!
Anyhoo, thoroughly enjoyed our short visit, this pic is from one of the chinese temples there, 'goddess of mercy', right across from a hindu temple and stone's throw from a mosque. truly a melting pot of cultures...
